Pinkfresh Studio “The Simple Things” Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty-friends! 

Today is an exciting day because the new Pinkfresh Studio release is here

and I’m so happy to be joining the blog hop and sharing my first project with you!

 

For my card, I wanted to create a soft and delicate design

with lots of layers and dimension.

 

I started with the background using the Oval Rhythm Cover Plate.

I absolutely love this delicate pattern!

It creates such a beautiful and subtle texture and is perfect

when you want to add interest to a card without taking away

from the main design.

 

For the flowers, I used the Gentle Bloomscape set.

This collection includes coordinating stencils and a matching die,

making it super easy to add beautiful color and then cut out the flowers.

I especially love that the flowers can be used without an additional white border around them—

it gives the floral arrangement a very soft and seamless look.

 

For my sentiment, I used the Cottage Flourish set.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white and then die cut it,

creating a delicate little sentiment piece that fits perfectly

into the floral arrangement.

 

To add a little more interest and dimension,

I layered all the elements and also tore a piece of paper,

gently rolled the edges, and tucked it into the design.

I really love the slightly playful, organic look this creates!
